MORE PHOTOS: West Seattle’s snowiest February 8th ever

Our Saturday-night coverage of road conditions, crashes, stuck buses is all here – and we’ll get back to road updates, etc., pre-dawn – but first, more shared snow photos (THANK YOU!):

Lynda shared the photo above from the Madison Middle School field, dubbing it “Frosty” … while Jana shared the next one from North Admiral:

Texted from Alki – another snow creation:

Ever look at a snowflake REALLY close up? Trileigh Tucker did:

Back to the snow creations – Mike shared the photo of Alki Elementary kindergartener Chloe‘s work:

Lauren, Tyler, and Alyssa sent this montage from SW Southern:

From the Junction area, Mike‘s “Sno-Hawk”:

From Admiral, Patricia‘s pastoral scene:

And from the early going – Paul shared the photo of “Jack-da-dog” in Belvidere:

As we noted in earlier coverage – the National Weather Service says this was the snowiest February 8th on record, 2.9″ at Sea-Tac. Sunday updates to come!

Love the snowmen pics. I always crack up seeing people posing with their creations, it’s great to see everyone having a good time and proud of what they made. Good times!

Morning. Does anyone know if Admiral to the bridge has been cleared or is safe to drive? I have to run the little one to ski lessons.

IMPORTANT POINT TO CONSIDER IS KEEPING OUR STORM DRAINS CLEAR OF DEBRIS SO MELTING SNOW HAS A PLACE TO GO THAT’S WHY WHEN I AM OUT WALKING I TAKE A MINUTE TO SEE WETHER A DRAIN IS COVERED BY DEBRIS WITH POPULATION BOOM IN WEST SEATTLE PROBLEM WILL PERSIST AND RESULT IN TRAFFIC ISSUES. Do your part.

Alki Mom: The Admiral hill down to the bridge was fine at 11 pm last night, but coming up the hill from Alki could be an issue. There were stranded cars there last night.

Mike, for the families that could afford to toss away $8,000.00, that would be the perfect motivator to get the normally procrastinating husband to get his ass off the couch, and get out and clear the sidewalk! :-D

    .

After doing his own, he’d probably not only do the walks of the neighbors unable to do their own, but other neighbors as well!

    .

*Knocks on door* “Hi, I live in the area, about a mile from here, and was wondering if you wanted me to clear your sidewalk. I’ve done all the other neighbors. You don’t need to pay me, but a cup of coffee, or hot chocolate would be nice!” :-D

    .

    Mike
