Three West Seattle Crime Watch reports – we request that you send WSCW reports via e-mail (editor@westseattleblog.com) but the first two happened to come in via other means:

*Via a comment on the morning traffic report:

PLEASE HELP ME; my truck just got stolen at 8 am this morning, I heard it start up and left. Its a BLACK Ford F250 with Colorado license plates, four-door, it’s dirty right now. VMI sticker on rear left window, another sticker in white “Nobody Cares About Your Stick Family,” my cleaning supplies were in it. Please help me. It was stolen from Highland Park on 7th SW and Kenyon.

*Posted in the WSB Forums last night:

My granddaughter’s car was stolen between (Tuesday) night and (Wednesday) morning. It has been reported to SPD. Anyone spotting this car please call SPD. It is 1995 black acura, license #AKM4431 with a volleyball sticker on the back. She is a hard worker and an excellent student and needs it for school and her job. Thanks in advance.

Both also have been reported to police – they’re on the @getyourcarback Twitter feed. Meantime, a mail-prowler sighting reported by Christopher:

Be on the lookout for an 80s era dark blue Toyota or Mazda pick up truck with chrome wheels. It was seen on Wednesday evening at 8:50 p.m. driving up/down 3rd Ave SW [behind Westcrest Park] looking in mailboxes. By the time we figured out what he was doing, he sped down the street and disappeared.

  1. I’m surprised there’s no mention of the break-in at the old All Star fitness!

  2. Breezy, haven’t heard of one. As I’ve mentioned in previous Crime Watches, info directly from police is a lot harder to get than you might think – they spotlight the occasional WS incident, but not everything turns up on the map, and if it does, details aren’t available for days, if ever. So, you or anyone else who knows anything about what you’re alluding to is welcome to e-mail us about it – editor@westseattleblog.com – thanks!

  3. I have reported this to the police. I just saw (approx 11:25am) a white 4dr sedan possibly a small old Cadillac with a solid dark blue out of state license plate #27-6195B. Driver was a black man mid-twenties with shoulder length dread locks….sound familiar?? He was spotted stealing mail a few weeks ago by someone reporting on the West Seattle Blog.

Well, the driver and 2 occupants drove real slow down the alley between 38th and 37th heading south from Graham to Morgan. I got into my car to follow. I saw two black guys early twenties get out of this car near 38th and Graham. I followed the car and got the license plate. The car continued to circle the block down Morgan then up Morgan etc. I drove down 38th Ave SW and saw the two guys that got out of the car talking to someone on their front porch. My guess is the scoped the house out and decided to see if anyone was home. One guy was on his cell phone the whole time. They were both wearing black jackets, one with dark blue jeans and one with blue – blue jeans. One guy approx 5’-7” the other approx 5’-10” short cropped black hair one with red/white sneakers.

After they talked to the homeowner they walked south not bothering to knock on anymore doors. They walked east on Morgan then got picked up by the guy in the white car!!! They drove south on 38th from there and I stopped the pursuit for my own safety.

BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THIS VEHICLE! REPORT TO THE POLICE IF SOMEONE IS LOOKING FOR THEIR DOG AT JUST YOUR HOUSE!

  4. On friday the 13th I found my neighbors mail thrown on my driveway. I asked another neighbor, who has cameras around his home and aimed towards my mailbox and driveway to check his video for anything suspicious. He hasn’t got back to me yet but I will post a description if given soon. I am near Holy Family Church off Roxbury.
