TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Thursday notes, sub-freezing edition

(East-facing camera on the West Seattle Bridge; see other cams on the WSB Traffic page)
7:18 AM: Below freezing again this morning, with temps in the mid-20s right now. Two advisories: West Seattle Bridge lane closures again today, 10 am-4 pm, for LED streetlight installation. And the half-block construction-related closure of 42nd SW in The Junction, south of SW Alaska, continues each weekday 7 am-3:30 pm through the end of next week.

12:56 PM: Crash on the westbound bridge, high-rise vicinity.

    Thanks WSB

Three cars looks really bad. Hope everyone is alright.

I’m checking with Seattle Fire. This is still going on so I’m going to escalate to a separate story, had hoped it would clear faster.

My boyfriend was heading eastbound when he witnessed the accident. The black pickup truck was stalled or disabled in westbound center lane and the silver SUV obviously didn’t see that until the last second and tried to veer into next lane, but it was too late. Next thing he sees is debris flying everywhere. We were wondering if drivers are ok?

The new LED lighting looks great! So much better visability!

Sorry, comment time is over.
