BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS SYMPOSIUM: Under way now until noon, first-ever event to help out local business organizations around the city, organized by City Council President Sally Clark; not happening in West Seattle, but local participants/sponsors include the West Seattle Chamber of Commerce and West Seattle Junction Association, and your editor here is a speaker on the media panel at 10:50 am. PARKing DAY: Worldwide, this is a day for temporary mini-parks to be set up, mostly in parking spaces, to show alternate uses of public areas.
