West Seattle food: New Morgan Junction taco truck Taqueria El Antojo

Joining others from The Triangle to Alki to mid-Delridge, Morgan Junction is the newest West Seattle neighborhood to get a daily taco truck. Multiple WSB’ers spotted it, and we’ve since received official word from proprietor Katherine Brambila:

We would like to let people know about the opening of our taco truck – Taqueria El Antojo. We are located at (6317) California Avenue SW in the parking lot of the Short Stop Cleaners. We sell tacos, burritos, tortas, and much more. We are open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.

The other semi-permanently located West Seattle taco trucks include Beloved Mexico outside West Seattle Produce on Fauntleroy Way south of SW Alaska, El Rey del Taco at 7184 Sylvan Way SW just north of Home Depot, and Taqueria La Monarca outside Alki Auto Repair.

    Menu?

Their menu is carefully hidden on their website. Look for the secret word “menu”.

Stef – I don’t know for sure if that’s the same company. Their website, twitter feed, FB page make no mention of a truck in West Seattle, let alone even in King County – all the restaurants are in Pierce and Snohomish Counties. I sent a followup question to Katherine, who e-mailed us about their truck, asking if they were affiliated – and no reply to date. If anyone who’s been there knows, please speak up.

It has to be the same company. The “antojo” logo on the truck is styled the exact same, and the same taco menu images that are on the side of the truck are also on their website.

Split the Burrito plate and a couple tacos with someone on Sunday. Not the best I’ve had, but pretty tasty and definitely a very good value. I’ll be back for sure.

The URL above does look like the same company but their menu on the truck didn’t have as much of an offering as the web page. I had the 3 taco plate today and it was piping got and delicious. I recommend the al carbon. So happy y’all are close to our house.

I been to the Tacoma location a lot. The food is sooooo good. I’ve never been disappointed.
