West Seattle traffic alert: 35th reopening after crash

9:14 PM: Thanks to Andrea for the tip – she says southbound 35th SW is blocked right now at Raymond in the High Point area because of a crash. Per scanner, tow trucks are already being requested, so this might be cleared before too long, but if you’re heading that way, you might consider staying off 35th for now.

9:36 PM: 35th is reported to be reopening now.

So far have heard two ambulances head to the scene. Hope everyone is okay.

My bro says it’s at Juneau.

Just heard that on the scanner (could not get to the scene) – and that they are reopening the road.

It was at Juneau. 2-car crash and one person was taken away in the ambulance on a stretcher, but first responders didn’t seem to be a big rush so would assume nothing life-threatening.

35th and Juneau continues to be a terribly unsafe intersection.

Does anybody know what happened? Just passed going North. Traffic Southbound was held up.

Ditto Pugmom, this is our neighborhood, and there have been way too many accidents and deaths at that intersection and along the stretch of I-35 (as we call it because people drive it like they’re on a highway) from Roxbury, all the way down to Alaska.

Sorry, comment time is over.
