Good question. I can find only bits and pieces. History docs about the school and the ravine (called “park” in this doc http://www.seattle.gov/parks/history/FairmountPk.pdf ) mention aspirational interest in a Philadelphia park of that name. Fairmount Playfield was named after a tract in the area per brief mention here https://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?id=452
.

Curious what if any connection there is between Fairmount Ravine (in Admiral) and Fairmount Park, Fairmount Springs in mid-WS?
