I'm glad that the City took it on itself to clear out the brush blocking view of the park and also clear out the underbrush across the street. It's very scary that this one never got solved. I wonder if there's any connection between this case and the series of unsolved knife attacks in Bremerton in 2011/early 2012, and then the still unsolved murder in Monroe less than two weeks after Mrs. Guy was attacked. The MO of the fiend appears to have been similar, and as far as I know, there was never an arrest in any of these cases. . This is not meant as a critique of the SPD, but just an acknowledgement of how hard it is to investigate a case where it's likely there was no connection between criminal & victim.
