If you can't go, see if maybe somebody can represent your neighborhood, or ... I have seen this play out in recent years time and time again. We commit to publicizing your chances to do that - whether it's a one-off like this or a regular meeting (bringing your questions/concerns to police at the West Seattle Crime Prevention Council, for example) - as best we can. - TR Amen, Steve. Maybe he would see that the camera would be useful to view the residents nearby rather than for "port security".
