Agreed Wetone. I don’t care what SPD says either. If they were actually doing something, WSB wouldn’t have to report these crimes on a almost daily basis now. I’ve lived here 30 years, and the crime is the worst I have seen it too. I never thought I would feel unsafe here in WS, but I do.

Been here long,long time, don’t really care what these people (SPD) say. Crime in the junction and surrounding areas is the worse I have seen in my life time. They SPD said the cameras are for port security also, still believe them ? The police have been letting things go. Makes it easier for them (SPD) to push their camera project through telling people it will be safer after there installed.

I think that although some feel the camera’s are an invasion of privacy, that with budget cuts and low police prescence at Alki these are a great option to help curb crime, as well as proof on camera if a crime is commited.
