Stu you should have problem converting it to a mail slot. I don't know why your mailman or woman said you couldn't. Maybe they are too lazy to walk the extra steps that may be needed to get to your garage. As long as what you are installing is postmaster approved then it doesn't matter what your carrier says. Call westwood station or the West Seattle station and talk to a supervisor about it.

We have a mailbox and I would like to convert it to a mail slot into my garage. Does anyone know what the regulations are to make this change? I asked my delivery person and he said I can't do it. I looked on the Postal Website and couldn't find any guidelines. Thanks
