Though new to Fauntleroy Church, it took no time at all to become very fond of David. His humility, sincerity, sense of humor and gentle kindness were reflected in all he did and said. I am so grateful to have known him and will miss him dearly. Thank you, David!

David, I remember the lunches we had in Olympia with Paul McCann, Jo Garecau and Bob Utter at the United Churches. We talked about many things over the course of two years and enjoyed our breaking bread on a regular basis. Lyn was also a great friend in her famiily counseling with Cliff Scarff. I was on the search committee when we called David to Fauntelroy Church. He was everything we thought and hoped he would be. A truly kind and thoughtful man. He baptized our one day old daughter in the NICU that late evening, when no one thought she would survive. She did survive and thrives today. 23 years later, David’s words are lost but his kindness is still with me. Thank you, David.

Wonderful man and while we aren’t members of the church, Reverend Kratz married my wife and I Jan 10th. He will very much be missed by all who attend the Fauntleroy UCC.

I agree with planenut. While not a Fauntleroy Church member myself, my whole family was. Rev. Kratz handled weddings and funerals in our family so beautifully and thoughtfully. A very nice man, indeed.

A very nice man and a good neighbor whether you are a member of his church or not. He has contributed much the the Fauntleroy community during his tenure here.
