West Seattle scene: Molly’s last day at West Seattle Library

That’s Molly Humphrie, who has just said goodbye to the West Seattle (Admiral) Library Branch after more than 22 years – she’s been there since 1990. A fellow librarian tipped us off at the last minute that it was her last day, or we would have tipped you in time to say goodbye. She’s moving to the Lake City branch.

Farewell to you Ms Humphrie. Admiral is the best branch in the city because of the staff. Thank you for your dedication.

I had the pleasure of working with Molly as a volunteer on a couple of occasions and she’s a gracious lady who clearly loves what she does. Lake City will be lucky to have her!

Sorry to read that Molly leaves us. We will miss her! She is always friendly with a smile and willing to help. Sorry for us, lucky for Lake City. How does Sea Public Library decide these things?

Thanks, Molly, for your community involvement that took you beyond library walls.

The Lake City job opened up and Molly applied for it and got it. That’s how it was decided!

Sorry, comment time is over.
