As a teacher at Sealth and parent in West Seattle, this was a horrible idea to begin with. The concerns of 3 years ago with enrollment inequity ultimately came to fruition and the those at Sealth are feeling that pain with overloaded classrooms and inadequate district funding to support a student population that has increased by almost 20% in 2 short years. The fact that 2 portables (they needed 4) had to be built this year in a completely remodeled high school that reopened just 2 short years ago should say enough.
