It appears to cycle twice, once for eastbound cars and once for westbound cars. Those traveling north on Avalon sit and wait. At 8:15 this morning it was indeed backed up to Fauntleroy. They can wrack up some $$$. At least 2 out of every 10 cars are running through that red light. They do need to fix the timing. Also, while the crosswalks are lovely, since cars are stopped across them waiting to run the red lights onto Avalon, pedestrians are still having to walk out into traffic.
