If you are looking for a decent place to get a massage, I can assure you that a massage franchise like Massage Envy is not the place to go. You will most likely be talked into a membership that will be very difficult to get out of and because the treatment of therapists are so bad at this place, even if you find a therapist you like they may not be there for the duration of your membership. You can search for a licensed and insureed therapist and find out exactly the type of modalities they offer and their years of experience at http://www.amtamassage.org/findamassage/index.html

As a licensed and nationally certified massage therapist myself, I must inform you that these massage franchises are a poor representation of our industry. They have lowballed the worth of massage and the standard of care as well. They have also reduced the payscale for massage therapists on a massive scale monopolizing the industry. Massage therapists have had it with these less than stellar corporations are are speaking out and standing up for our rights. Coffee, that’s one of the properties on a growing “trying to find out” list that we have. Once in a rare while, something is easy to find out about because it turns up on the DPD site or elsewhere. Other times, we wind up visiting (or having a team member visit) the site over and over and over again … till finally we find somebody there. The almost-humorous case of the former Bohemian was an extreme (endless visits and messages – and finally they sent us a *postal* letter with some info, as published here a while back!) … As we crack the cases, we’ll publish the updates … TR

I keep forgetting to tell you that there’s a sign for “Inspire Pilates” and “construction entrance” on the parking lot side windows where Massage Envy had a sign up previously
