Actually since I’ve been in Seattle, I have not had the opportunity to do any professional music. The rules state professional as one currently making a living in music which is not the case for me.

Ok, you are right. But it does leave it open to being interpreted as no pros. One would assume a professional songwriter wouldn’t make the cut.
