Also had the same issue with the 57 this morning, but never saw one at all. Agree with Julie that the 57 is usually on time -- did they switch drivers? The driver yesterday said she thought she was supposed to be a 56 so started that route before realizing and backtracking to run the 57 route.

If there is any other option I generally refuse to ride "Rapid"Ride -- I'll even take a cab. Mostly out of protest, but also out of pure unpredictability and discomfort of the commute on a RR. This was confirmed this morning while waiting more than 10 minutes for an over-stuffed RR. What's the use of a "real-time" arrival sign that can't tell you more than a minute or two before original predicted arrival time that a bus is more than 10 minutes out? Seriously, Metro. There is a reason no one has any faith in your abilities to run a efficient, useful transit system.

Recently took a 37 from 2nd ave downtown to West Seattle ,which only runs during commute hrs, took an extra 25 minutes or so to get to Alaska junction as it follows it route along Alki, Beach Drive and 49th sw. This bus has lots of seats and I would imagine by the looks of complaints with RR is a good alternative and there will defiantly be seats. Also I believe it's the 116 express which also passes thru West Seattle however with limited stops ,believe it stops in Morgan Junction.
Might be wise to check out theses bus routes.

Waited for 20 mins this morning for the 57, gave up and walked to the junction. Saw the bus go by while walking, it was 23 minutes late. Yesterday it was 15 minutes late. Normally this bus is on time, very disappointing. Changed my bus routing in the morning because of overcrowding on rapid ride and now the bus I've been taking for the last few months has become so unreliable I end up taking rapid ride anyways. Is this the next level of service cuts to make other routes so unreliable we all give up and take rapid ride or simply drive?

The crash at 3rd and Stewart is described by SPD via Twitter as pedestrian vs. bus. They say the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad has been brought in, which means it's likely to be blocked for a few hours, while they do their work - TR

One Bus Away tells me the 21x is running with a 14 minute delay. Any idea why? 14 minutes is outrageous.

There's an accident at 3rd and Pine southbound. ALL traffic in both directions is barely moving, if at all. Nearly everyone on my fulling packed 120 got off at 2nd and Seneca, or right after we turned onto 3rd.
