I wonder if Equity is locked in to a short term contract or are just contracting with Diamond on a month-to-month basis. That would give us a better indicator of when construction may start.

A little West Seattle History... Those Pick Up windows were from the old N.B.of C bank that became Rainier Bank and then Bank of America. There was also a Seattle Trust bankin the mix also

Back when banks were only open 10am to 3pm daily and the drive up was open until 6pm on Friday nights... no cell phones and only doctors and pagers. A much different time

Wonder if the developers are underfunded and unable to borrow more money to finance their project?

Meanwhile, viable businesses were closed or relocated to accomodate them. Sad.

SW corner of Dakota and 42nd just went by on the bicycle family inside gutting it out of hardware and other salvageable items. Asked the guy when they are tearing it down he thought a week just blocks from this future project.

So here we go again! Another "hole"! How long will we have to put up with so called developers. Leave West Seattle alone. It was fine the way it was.

It's simple, nobody should pay to park in this Lot. Just don't use it.

Was the drive up window along the north side of the lot for picking up photographs developed film? I seem to recall that being the case. Is anyone documenting the DRASTIC change we are undertaking in West Seattle 98116 WEST SEATTLE. As in photographs documentry style?

But it says welcome :)

Anyone know what's up with the old Charlestown Cafe building? Been empty for 2 years! I thought people couldn't wait to set up shop in WS. I wonder why the lag time. Just don't want another 5 year vacancy like the old burned out Shucks.

They will soon find out that we've only been parking there because the buildings were empty, meaning it was free. Once a pay box goes in everyone I know will stop parking there!

Actually, so far, they are. Most permits are granted for periods of years. I just randomly pulled up one of the permits on this project - land use - and its expiration date is in 2017:

Great, empty space for an unknown time. Can't we get some financial penalties to developers that do this? They should have to sick to the timeline on the permit application.
