@ghar – It’s actually funny. SW Barton St is that jaunty street that jiggles right going East from WWV. The street to the “left” is technically SW Barton Place before it hits Delridge and becomes Henderson. So the detour should say SW Barton Place, not SW Barton St. Not that I’m anal retentive or anything.

I found an alert on King County Metro website on page THREE of the construction alerts for the 120. It says to catch the bus at 25th and Trenton. I guess that is the stop by Staples on 25th? Again a sign at the stops would be helpful.

Amanda, I wondered that as well about Barton. But I looked at the detour map and it appears the detour goes left from 25th onto Barton just for the 1/2 block then continues up the hill on Henderson (the main road). I’m checking with Metro. I looked at Route 120 online to see if there was a “rider alert” at least posted there – as of early today, there wasn’t. – TR

Turning left! onto Henderson from 25th, then that quick right up Barton to Delridge? They want EVERYONE to do that? It’s already an overload of people doing that without Delridge being closed. At least it’s temporary! And just an FYI guys, Cambridge doesn’t go though to Delridge from 25th.

I was just commenting to my husband that there is no sign on the 120 southbound stop south of Trenton giving any warning of it closing. I haven’t seen any information on an alternative on where to go to catch the bus. I guess you have to walk either to Thistle or Westwood, making a commute by bus even less appealing for me.

How about temporary stop signs at 25th and Trenton? It can already be difficult enough to make a left from 25th onto Trenton as it is. Plus, I assume the 120 will be taking the same detour. Will there be a southbound stop to make up for the (temporarily) lost stop at Delridge and Trenton?

Plus SDOT’s re-doing the corner at 26th and Barton for bus bulbs with SPD directing. And, that Barton/25th Corner is the new end-of-line for the 21, C and 60 routes. I predict utter chaos for the first several weeks. Heading to Westwood Village, I’d recommend the other – Post Office – side. Fun times, eh!
