Thanks, Laura and Robin! And a big shout out to the Whale Trail volunteers who made it all happen: Jen, Bill, Nicole, Evangeline, Barry, Kama, Greg, and everyone from Seal Sitters. What a great pod! :)
Lee - I haven't seen any other reports about a gray whale yesterday, but it's not unusual for them to be around this time of year. We should all keep watching!

I was having lunch at Salty's yesterday and a gray whale surfaced nearby cruising south toward Duwamish. Did some research and found that there was a similar sighting in March of 2010. Maybe same whale. I can't be the only one to have spotted the whale.

Thank so much to Donna and the Whale Trail for including Seal Sitters in this very informative evening! We look forward to future events. We also plan to team up with Laura for some collaborative outreach about our polluted waters - which will tie in with SS's Year of the Seal project.

Seal Sitters is so grateful for Mark's expertise and dedication to the whales and for his support of our marine mammal stranding network over the past 6 years. West Seattle is lucky to call him our own!

Thank you Mark! Your presentation was excellent i learned a many interesting things about the Orca and audience participation was brilliant! Thanks to said audience, I also learned more in a few minutes than in hours and hours of online researching about the Grey Whales.

Nice to hear what sealsitters is up to, looking forward to the year of the seal!!

Huge props to Donna for organizing this great opportunity!!
