High-school basketball: WSHS girls clinch division

Congratulations to the West Seattle High School girls-varsity basketball team and coach Sonya Elliott for clinching the regular-season division title by beating Eastside Catholic at home Wednesday night, 50-39. They’re playoff-bound after wrapping up the regular season Friday night at Bishop Blanchet.

Sorry we didn’t have photos from last night :( we have covered them as often as we could but were unable to go to last night’s game – thanks to Tim McMonigle, whose daughter Chelle is a senior on the division-winning team, for giving us heads-up about the win – we’ll be there throughout the playoffs! – Tracy

Carole I heard that it had been over 100 years. Would love to know if that is true.
