Happening now: Fabio enchants fans at Metropolitan Market

(WSB photo by Patrick Sand)
Romance idol Fabio is in the nutrition business these days – and that’s what brought him to West Seattle this afternoon. He arrived early at Metropolitan Market (WSB sponsor) and has already been delighting fans and enlightening wellness-seekers, as well as drawing regional-media attention (at least one TV crew). He’s there on behalf of his Healthy Planet Nutrition business, which offers protein products and other types of supplements (read about them here). Fabio’s original claim to fame was modeling for the covers of romance novels, and he branched out to various parts of the entertainment business – including writing romance novels himself.

You can catch up with him at the Metropolitan Market demonstration till about 7 tonight – or, if you miss him there, the tour schedule on his website says he’ll be at five other Metropolitan Markets in the region over the next three days, before heading to Southern California.

I thought Fabio has aged very well and seemed quite down to earth.

Well, it is obvious now: the new world order has come to West Seattle. In the photo of Fabio!, in the background is the word “Duce”, as in “il Duce” – Are we to bow to our new Italian master? Are we going to crumble to the romance novel cover boy Fabio! without a fight? It seems amazing to me that in a world, where the machinations of our fair city are controlled by psychic imaginary beard of so-call mayor McChin and the troika of super intelligent coyotes, vegan snax from Trader Joes’s and the guy with the hat, who talks to himself at the 120 bus stop on Delridge, that Fabio! is their leader and is in reality KIM JONG IL (who isn truly mysterious fashion is not dead, but had his brain implanted into an elderly body building proto-celebrity, purchased wholesale, on Craigslist). It’s over. I , for one welcome our new Hollywood Squares Fascista leader and hope that The coyotes will let me leave the laundry room long enough to take a shower. Thank you.

That IS funny. That’s Dartanion the comedian, right? I remember him from promoting a show in which he and a West Seattle comedian were sharing the bill a couple years ago.

Sorry, comment time is over.
