Was anything done regarding this attack? It would be nice to know as I walk the area of attack as well as around 46th every day with my dog (on a leash). It would be nice to hear the follow-up and know whether something was done…

It seems like the home of these dogs has been identified, and that they are repeat aggressors. I know of 2 additional people who also reported these dogs’ home to the SAS (and did not report to WSB).

Is there follow-up WSB? Do we know the status of SAS investigation?

Thanks to everyone for being watchful to find these two. A more specific description: the biter was large, almost shaggy, with a black saddleback mark (like chow/shepherd mix). The other is tall and boxer-like, brindl color, white chest, pit bull shaped face, and a long pointy tail.

And yes, my husband was surely bitten because he picked up our dog to rescue him. It seemed to be the best of the bad options at the time.

@Tim – can you please share the cross streets on 46th where these dogs reside? I walk my dogs in the vicinity of 46th every day and want to avoid the area where they are. I’ve been attacked twice (in other cities) by dogs tearing out of their own yards to go after my dogs and really don’t want to repeat that exerpience. People who are unable or unwilling to keep their dogs from harming others shouldn’t have the opportunity to own them.

Just witnessed 2 dogs and their owner walking them along California and Hill St. in N. Admiral that match the description of the 2 dogs from a recent attack. Both dogs were walking with their gentleman owner – unleashed – about 5 mins ago. One dog was a german shepard mix and the other a small brindled boxer/pit mix. Don’t know if this helps but I thought I would pass the information along. I also emailed the gentleman listed above this same info. I hope these dogs are found…

Tim-thank you for reporting your unfortunate incident to Animal Control. I hope they will be diligent in follow-up.
It gives me a bit of peace knowing the home of these vicious dogs has been identified. It does not, however, give me any peace knowing these aggressive dogs are repeat attackers. They need to be sent on to a place where they absolutely can do no harm ever again. And their owner(s) need a hefty fine and invoice from the Vet (and other related) medical bills.

I just called and left a message with Don letting him know my wife and i were attacked by these two new years day in front of they’re house on 46th. We have two career changed guide dogs that we were walking on leash and the pit bull and german shepherd came tearing out of the house with one thing in mind. We fought them for several minutes until neighbors came out and we called the humane society and police. Apparantly this isnt the first time they have had issues with both agencies.

Hm I believe I may have seen the brindle/boxer/pit mix yesterday afternoon (pre-attack?) in our alley behind 44th bet. Spokane and Charlestown…saw him trot through and then lost sight of him. I remember being startled by it b/c I didn’t see leash or owner. Did not see any other dog. I don’t suppose that’s useful now after the fact, but will keep an eye out…

I agree norskgirl.. neighbors, please do what is right for Lorrie and her family. Think of what you can do to prevent this from happening again. Atleast do it in the name of all of the people who have bitten in the past (myself included). Thanks!

Someone, somewhere knows where these two dogs live. Please contact the Seattle Animal Shelter if you know or suspect where they live so that SAS can follow up.

It might have been an accident that the both dogs were running loose. And maybe never, ever have these dogs been aggressive before…NO matter. Yesterday, the dogs were aggressive and violent to both human and(law-abiding, leashed) dog. They did damage (certainly physical and ? emotional) to human and dog.
Perhaps they have been aggressive and damaging before. I don’t know. I just know that once is enough. Not 2 or 5 or 10 times aggressive before something is done.

The owner(s) of these dogs needs to be aware of this incident and take responsibility.
