Just a quick correction. The Brosio-Hamasaki-Stein Guild of Fred Hutchinson sponsored the First fundraising Bicycle ride. It was called Beat The Bridge. The first time the city allowed the closing of the Viaduct and the West Seattle Bridge. The BHS Guild was started over 20 years ago and consists of many fine women from West Seattle. If I recall correctly there were about 3-4 hundred riders. I believe that there was coverage of the event. The ride ended at Alki near the Bathhouse.
