Why helicopters are over White Center: Body found

September 7, 2012 at 10:53 am | In Helicopter, West Seattle news, White Center | 4 Comments

We’ve received calls about helicopters over White Center, south of downtown WC. King County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a body that Sgt. Cindi West has tweeted was found in the Mallard Lake area, near the Coronado Springs Apartments at 14th and 107th. We’ve gone to the scene and will have continuing coverage on partner site White Center Now.

  1. I’ve been hearing quite a few sirens in the distance from AH, is this related to the White Center response?

  2. Probably not, since all the investigators are already there. Nothing on the fire 911 log. We had one short-burst siren just go by us north of you, but that’s all I’ve heard.

  4. Hi, Emily – we updated on our White Center site a couple days ago. No cause of death though, but no signs of foul play. Victim has been id’d. Scroll down http://whitecenternow.com
