1 taken to hospital after crash across from Lincoln Park

1 person was hurt and taken to the hospital after a 2-vehicle crash that briefly blocked northbound traffic in the 8400 block of Fauntleroy Way, across from central Lincoln Park. Should be clearing now, as crews were starting to pack up when we left the scene a few minutes ago, but since it’s a high-visibility spot – traffic coming from the ferry terminal had to maneuver around the scene – we thought it worth a mention.

  2. Mary – there was another accident we didn’t write about this afternoon because the scene was cleared very quickly and it wasn’t affecting traffic, but maybe it was your friend – a 13-year-old boy was riding his bike in the 6000 block of California SW and, according to SFD, his bike pedal caught a pole and he took a spill. He went to the hospital by private ambulance, injuries described at the time as not serious. We almost never are able to get names in cases like that so I don’t know anything more than that – TR
