West Seattle Christmas lights: You’re never too old …

… to put up Christmas lights. The tipster for this one – TJ, who also shared the photo (thank you!) – says “Brother-in-law is still just a kid at heart. He is 72 and climbs up to the roof to put his lights up.” 7900 block of 32nd SW. Makes us feel guilty for feeling like we exerted ourselves to throw a few strands on the shrubbery! Thanks to everyone who’s been sending tips, with and without photos – editor@westseattleblog.com – meantime, we’ve added the address to our updated-daily clickable/printable Christmas lights map (find it here, or on the West Seattle Holidays page).

I think you are living in the past if you think that 72 is “old”. I am surprised that you are surprised that a 72 year old man would be able to put lights on his roof.

Orca, the quote is from the lights’ owner’s brother-in-law, as noted. I can’t speak to whether he’s living in the past or the future or the moment. I’m past the half-century mark myself and I don’t think ANYBODY’s old. Just thought it was cute that the sender summarized it that way. Sorry to offend. – TR

Beautiful lights! It just goes to show Christmas brings out the kid in all of us. Thanks for sharing! It is always nice to find new houses to show the kids :)

Ps: Orca and WSB, the quote never says old. Just saying. Merry Christmas!
