From the ‘in case you wondered’ file: The stickup that wasn’t

In case you wondered about the big police response in the Puget Ridge area this past hour (21st/Holly) … turned out to be something of a false alarm. What looked like someone with a gun turned out to be someone with a pellet gun/airsoft-type gun, roleplaying a bit too realistically, apparently – according to scanner traffic, it looked to at least one witness like a holdup in progress, and that report is what sent police rushing to the scene.

Actually, I was wondering who the K9 unit was chasing at 3 am this morning through our yard at 42nd and Graham. Any word on that? There were several units involved but the 911 dispatcher wasn’t giving me any info about what was happening.

I was working till 5 and didn’t hear anything – any time you see/hear something, text/call 206-293-6302 … anyway, looking at the 12-hour delay map that mentions types of calls in some situations, the only thing there was a 12:30 am report labeled as “disturbance” (that’s as specific as it gets) … TR
