From White Center Now: Dozens arrested in big WC raids

(Added 12:53 pm: Video of some of the seized drugs, guns)
Our partner site White Center Now had first word yesterday of the big raids focused on two WC sites described as “hubs” for crime – and contributor Deanie Schwarz is covering the new information today, with federal, state, county, and other authorities briefing the media at Steve Cox Memorial Park.

What has failed to be mentioned is that the culprits in this case are NOT from WC, these drugs and guns were obtained from SeaTac, High Point, and Burien.
You can confirm this with SPD and KCSO. The culprits used our community to conduct their criminal activities.

Good deal! I like it when the cops take out the trash.

I second GHO’s request. I’d love to know which two businesses were part of the case, although I have my guesses.

    Very impressive collection.

Hopefully those arrested include Alki home invasion suspects, the Alki muggers, and miscellaneous West Seattle bank robbers.

Hallelujah!!! Look at the arsenal of guns! For one, it frightens me that these POSs walked the same streets as me, shopped the same stores, ate at the same places, and marred our neighborhoods by merely existing. Let’s hope the prosecutor has enough tea bags to really put them away for a VERY long time.

Don’t get too excited, there are still plenty more where these came from.

I am so grateful for the hard work and dedication to our community that we have seen from our Deputies, now and over the previous years.
I have been a business owner and resident for 8 years and have worked closely with previos and current Deputies on issues, and have experienced a high quality of concern and support.
I am convinced we are all working towards a family friendly downtown White Center district and visualize a vibrant business district with more emphasis on community events and gatherings.
Having read Malcolm Gladwell’s ‘Tipping Point’ and fully appreciating the efforts it takes to create that, through dedication to the positive image we hold in our mind, and continually removing the offensive graffiti, garbage, negatives of any sort, we can continue to say NO and take the community to a higher level….but it takes the ENTIRE VILLAGE to look around and say-hey…NO MORE.
That means everyone makes an effort to pick up garbage, report a crime, get to know our officers, neighbors and so on.

Or, keep wishing someone else will do it.

Thank you for a big clean up in our community, we greatly appreciate you hard work, and understand the difficult position of not being able to tell us that you were actively working on this huge investigation.

    Proud Resident of White Center!

MAYBE THE FEDS WILL KEEP THEM BUT MONEY TALKS VERY LOUD. THEIR FRINDLY NEIGHBORHOOD LAWYER/PUKE WILL HAVE THE POLICE SO TIED UP IN PAPERWORK THAT THE BAD GUYS WILL BEAT THE COPS BACK TO THE STREET.

  • Betty T October 23, 2011 (2:22 pm)

Sad but true the lawyers make there money by forcing the court to prove them guilty. You can’t always tell by looks who the bad guys are. We have been told that any drug issues in our neighborhood are with people from outside here. Not saying where.

I live 4 blocks away from these bars where the raids went down. Im very thankful that the cops/feds got these losers out of our community. I hope next they focus on the drunks. People tell me I should move but hell no, I love my area. I love my comute to work,to the city, the ferry and beautiful Alki beach.
I drove by the block(16th by the bars)this morning and it was actually quite, not a crackhead or dealer in sight!

I was on the bus the other day and some shady characters were rumoring about the bust and talking about all their dealers and friends who’d been busted. I hate these scum, and like Marty says, yes there are many more, they are like roaches.

Sorry, comment time is over.
