Pet, youth-talent contests set for Holy Rosary’s WestFest

Holy Rosary School‘s annual WestFest this Friday and Saturday will be the kickoff to a huge West Seattle weekend. This afternoon, we have the final entertainment lineup from WestFest organizers – featuring a pet contest and youth-talent contest, plus local acts including the West Seattle Big Band. Here’s the overall list of festival activities; the entertainment details are after the jump:

Friday

6:00 – 9:30 DaCoda with special guests Take 27 – Classic rock and vocal pyrotechnics.

Saturday

10:00 “Best In Show” Cavalcade of Pets – All pets welcome, with prizes for everyone.

11:15 Spira Power Yoga – Demonstrating the wonders of the eastern art form.

11:30 Magician Raymond Ejarque – Magic to astound and amaze you.

12:00 Castbound – Young alt rockers back by popular demand.

1:00 The Ellis Brothers – A talented trio of pre-teen jazz musicians.

2:00 West Seattle Idol 2011 – Open to all kids and teens and every type of talent.

3:00 Marco Polo – Music for learning and laughing, from the star of Team Marco Polo.

4:00 West Seattle Big Band – More than a dozen amazing musicians on one stage.

5:00 Intermission

(added) 6:00 Minakami Karate – Martial arts demonstration by Sensei Charles Creech.

7:00 – 9:15 Full Life Crisis – A rockin’ WestFest tradition.

8:00 Raffle drawing – Dozens of prizes, dozens of winners!

WestFest hours at Holy Rosary (42nd/Genesee) are 6-10 pm Friday, 10 am-10 pm Saturday.
