Three West Seattle Crime Watch reports to share – two vehicle thefts from today (and a request to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicles), and a car prowl from earlier. The reports are after the jump:
First, Marcia reports a brown Saturn Outlook stolen from the 2600 block of 47th SW [map] on Tuesday afternoon: “If anyone sees it show up in their neighborhood all of a sudden, can you contact the police? They are looking for it.”
The other vehicle theft is from Domenica:
Our truck got stolen this morning between the hours of 3-4am. We live on the 8800 block of Fauntleroy Way SW [map]. It’s a metallic beige 1988 Chevy 1500 Half Ton pickup. Both doors have a decal that says Mid-Iowa Equipment. Looks like a couple of kids pulled up on junky razor scooters (left in my driveway) and decided to go on a joy ride. Please keep your eyes peeled!
And the car prowl is from Jessica:
I just wanted to report that my husband’s car (a 2000 GMC Yukon) was prowled sometime this weekend between Friday night and Sunday around 6pm. He noticed when he went to run a quick errand last night and the contents of his center console were strewn across the front seat and the rear driver’s side door wasn’t closed all the way. Fortunately we try not to keep anything of value in either of our cars, so the only thing that the “prowler” got away with was a cheap $5 phone charger. We live (in the 10100 block of) 32nd Pl SW [map], and the car was parked on the street. My husband was fairly certain that he had locked his car, but there weren’t any signs of forced entry. As far as I know none of our neighbors have had any problems.
