Are the tickets really $159 each or is that a misprint?
Comment by Skylar — 7:31 am August 12, 2010 #
Saw it last night – very fun. They are sold out tonight and Sunday – tickets were $12.
Comment by Eric B — 9:35 am August 12, 2010 #
I believe the $159 is the cost of a season pass for opening nights.
Comment by austin — 9:46 am August 12, 2010 #
Eric, $159 is the cost of a season ticket (1 ticket each to each of the 6 plays during the regular season). I think Seussical tix are $12 (and not part of the regular season).
The season tickets are a great deal not just in terms of price, but the fact that you can change your tickets if you’re suddenly not free on the day you had scheduled – I think you can change them up until the day before, just by calling on the phone and asking them to switch you. I love the flexibility of that.

It’s a terrific show. Last night was sold out and there are only 18 seats left for the remainder of the engagement, 15 of which are on Saturday at 3:00. And those will probably go in the next hour, so if you want to see it, your best bet is to call the box office at (206) 938-0339 at noon when they open or to go online by clicking the “on sale online” hyperlink in the article.
We’re also selling tickets for the limited run of the Conservatory production of Aristophanes hilarious political comedy, “The Birds,” which starts on Wednesday. Tickets are also $12 for “The Birds.”
Season tickets, which have already passed last year’s total because of the popularity of the kind of work that ArtsWest is doing these days, are still on sale, but good seats are going fast. The prices are $159 for six plays (which is like getting one play free), and as Sue says, exchanges are free and easy. Just give ArtsWest a call as late as the day before your scheduled play and we’ll move you as many times as you need. You see…we actually WANT you to see the play!
There are discounts for those over 65 ($147 for 6 plays) and under 25 ($48 for 6 plays — not a misprint…only $8 per ticket), plus all the great benefits. And if you like to party before the play, we have a new Friday night series that offers just that. For an extra $100, you get a great themed party before the show (can’t wait for the Halloween costume party before EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL).
Thanks, and we’ll see you at ArtsWest!
