Fireworks are a great way to poison the water, and are a me-too celebration of the most base and right-wing moronic mindset. The city should certify the official shows and leave it that. This city is utterly run by corporations and their right-wing sycophants.

The timing couldn’t be worse for all our local birds starting to nest. There are SO many other ways to celebrate that don’t impact wildllife.

Hmmm. A fireworks show above the Bay once a month might be a fair substitute for the 4th of July show. Ok, maybe not, but still beautiful.
