West Seattle Super Bowl watching guide, version 1.2

Several people asked if we would put together a list of where you can watch the Super Bowl in West Seattle this Sunday, so we found some research help (thanks, Jennifer!) and kicked off the search. Here’s version 1.0. (Looks like the “Jaeger Girls” will be making the rounds!) If you know of something we missed, please let us know so we can add it (there are a few we’re still checking with, but didn’t want to wait any longer with the bulk of the list). Thanks! (11:40 PM NOTE: We’ve added several to the list, so it’s now 1.1! P.S. Please see the comments for a great idea about the Bus Trip Planner, if you don’t have a designated driver – we’ll be adding addresses to the list) SATURDAY 1:28 PM: Added three more spots. It’s now version 1.2.

Just remember everyone, while you are out having a great time, to have a safe time getting home…that means cab it! We don’t need any more accidents!

  • Eddie February 4, 2010 (9:27 pm)

And how about no street shootings this year either.

Don’t leave anything in your car, lock it.

Don’t answer the door to strangers.

Report any strange happenings to the police.

Post your thoughts on your favorite commercials.

Seriously, Why not make your SuperBowl Sunday game watching an adventure and try out Metro transit to get you to one of the SuperFun places to watch the game without risking a DUI or worse?

    Check out this link:
    http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov/cgi-bin/itin_page.pl?resptype=U

Maybe WSB could edit the list of fantastic fun places to add their address – plug in your home address and the party address and see just how easy it could actually be to take the bus to go “indulge” in the celebrations. The bus costs $2 each way, add a couple of minutes walking and a couple of minutes waiting – how could that be more expensive than a DUI?

Seriously – give it a try.

    • WSB February 4, 2010 (9:38 pm)

I will be adding the addresses. Got the list just before I had to run out to the Community Meeting Du Jour, slammed it up fast knowing it would be amended, and am just back from that slacking off for five minutes. Give me a few more minutes to slack and it’ll be back to work.

  • johnnyblegs February 4, 2010 (9:38 pm)

This is so cool! Thank you WSB. You are awesome! I love it!

  • coffee February 4, 2010 (9:45 pm)

slacking is good, healthy, and fun, plus for you more than well deserved!

  • say what!? February 4, 2010 (11:15 pm)

Man vs Food!!! Is that for real, the TV guy is going to be there filming or is this just a local thing?

  • ryan caple February 4, 2010 (11:38 pm)

Lasagna eating contest at angelina’s!!! I will win and I want everyone to come have a great time with all of us at Angelina’s. Skip and Allison have done an awesome job with the place.

  • Sue February 5, 2010 (6:36 am)

I appreciate the list so I can figure out where *not* to go on Sunday. :)

  • Zgh2676 February 5, 2010 (9:41 am)

    Go Saints!!!!!!!!!

  • Eliza February 5, 2010 (10:58 am)

Oh Caple!! Best of luck vs the food!!

  • rw February 5, 2010 (11:51 am)

Considering that Jagermeister is a traditional German libation one would expect the Jager Girls to stop at Prost as well — and Prost would be an excellent watering hole to add to your Super Bowl party list as well (with or without Jager Girls).

  • Kte February 6, 2010 (8:50 am)

Salty’s has 5 large tvs in the lounge and happy hour from 3-6pm on Sunday. Here’s a link to the food and drink special spread…

Thanks, Kte. I’ve got one more place to add and will put in the Salty’s details too.

  • Craig H February 7, 2010 (8:12 am)

Saw a sign on the door of Jak’s Grill yesterday that they were going to be closed today “for the Super Bowl” – no further details, presumably a private party or somesuch going on.

    • WSB February 7, 2010 (8:57 am)

Thanks, that’s another one to add to Feedback, Porterhouse, West 5.

  • Elias February 7, 2010 (10:58 am)

Cant wait until west seattle wingdome opens! That will be the best place to watch the game!

  • pam February 7, 2010 (2:25 pm)

Had a great time at Angelina’s watching the three eaters attempt to eat a whopping seven pounds of lasagna – the first dish looked huge then they brought out the second. Too much fun!!!

Sorry, comment time is over.
