West Seattle Crime Watch: 7-11 robbers caught on camera

No, not this morning’s robbery – no photos from that have been made available so far. These are from a holdup at the Harbor Avenue 7-11 early last Thursday. Seattle Police and CrimeStoppers have put these photos out with word of a $1,000 reward.

SPDBlotter says there were three robbers – one with a gun – and they punched the clerk in the face. They got away with cash and cigarettes. The three are described as follows:

Suspect #1 is possibly Samoan or black, 20’s, approximately 6″2″ tall, stocky build, black hair (tied up in the back), with a black jacket, jeans with a large red pattern on the back and black gloves.

Suspect #2 is possibly black, 18-20’s, approximately 5′8″ tall, medium build, dark hoody, jeans, white gloves and armed with a black handgun.

Suspect #3 is approximately 5′5″ tall, medium build, gloves, white and gray hoody with skull designs all over it and dark-colored shorts.

(added) Here’s a third photo, taken outside the store, from the SPDBlotter post:

Info? Call 911 or the Seattle Police Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535. To be anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a text to CRIMES (274637) – with a message including TIP486 so it’s routed to the right case.

The first picture in the link http://spdblotter.seattle.gov/2010/02/08/can-you-identify-these-robbers/
shows their probably getaway car. It looks like they parked where it would not be picked up by security cams. But someone may recognize it anyway. Take a look.

Also I’m going to be suspicious and observant of cars parked cadywampus like that late at night. This is serious stuff.

DSA, thanks. I’m adding that photo too, had a bit of trouble with it on first publish. Very good point on observant re: cars. Whether these guys are linked to other robberies or not, police have acknowledged we DO have a “robbery pattern” – series – under way in this area now. Anybody’s tip could catch the robbers and stop the series. Note the Jack in the Box and Harbor 7-11 are both relatively close to bridge entrances.

Hope they catch those creeps. Oh, and nice hoody, too. That skull pattern is so…2007.

Think like a robber catch a robber. WSB is right about the pattern. I would say if it continues Avalon/35th similar type businesses “could be” targets if these guys stay up here near a bridge. They hit clerks, what is next? I hope I read a blog entry soon, that these losers have been caught. Be vigilant people.

i’m trying to figure out what kind of car that is. it looks to be a hatchback with a top-mounted brake light. perhaps a nissan 240?

  • bridge to somewhere February 9, 2010 (9:02 am)

and incidentally, if that is indeed a brake light in the picture of the get away car, then there was a fourth person, the driver, waiting in the car with his/her foot on the brake.

suspect #1 may also have a tattoo on his neck.

Let me see if I understand this. 3, maybe 4 guys rob a 7-11 in the dead of the night. Maybe, they got $100? Thats $25-$33 each? Did they at least grab a few packs of Cigs and 6-pack? What makes these guys doubly dangerous is they also really really stupid.

  • samson February 9, 2010 (10:21 am)

picture of the car definitely is Honda Accord or Nissan with two doors! if you look at this picture carefully…. classic rims, oh boy, robbers could be very stupid to drive by these cameras robbers could not avoid lol!!! what a dumb driver!

I wish someone could blow the horn that robbers are attacking anyone. neighbors could look out for them and pin down…

i will look out for the skull jacket as it looks so familiar.

Robbers – look out for many eyes!!!

    Too bad it wasn’t a Toyota Prius…

  • Leroniusmonkfish February 9, 2010 (4:52 pm)

I used to see a guy walking from the bus stop at College St. & California Ave across from Blockbuster with that same “skull jacket”….

  • bridge to somewhere February 9, 2010 (7:09 pm)

leroniusmonkfish: the police/crimestoppers might be interested in that information! who knows, maybe there’s $1000 in it for you! i’m guessing that terribly stupid jacket is fairly uncommon . . .

  • Westie February 10, 2010 (12:25 am)

Yeah that looks like a 1989–1998 Nissan 240 or possibly a 1987–1992 Toyota Supra (rear slanted B pillar looks like a Supra). Hard to tell.

  • bridge to somewhere February 10, 2010 (9:11 am)

    westie: i think you’re right. a silver/grey nissan 240 or older supra.

$100 total bounty. $25 each. For each $1 they got, they risking 1 year in prison for armed robbery (25 years to life). See if they are such tough guys when they get to Walla Walla and their cellmate wants them to be their bitch.

  • Mustafa February 18, 2010 (1:31 pm)

They’re probably like, “Aw dude, we got nuthin! Damn.” And then they buy a vial of crack and feel better for like 30 minutes.

Sorry, comment time is over.
