chaztowncafe.jpgTwo weeks after Charlestown Cafe co-owner Larry Mellum told us the restaurant finally had the green light for the work needed to recover from the Feb. 4 fire that closed it — the city website reveals a permit was officially granted Friday. We’re checking for an update on the timetable for reopening. (You can see all our archived Charlestown coverage here.)

  3. Can’t wait to order the curry chicken salad. No, wait! — several curry chicken salads. Take some home, take some to work, take some anywhere…..

  4. I live near the Charleson and I keep telling people-”No one is working on the restaurant.” So- I will believe it when I see it.

  5. I am starving for a curry chicken salad, or a decent burger (that isn’t fast food). Is there another decent place to get a good burger other than a darn tavern? There just isn’t anywhere good to eat at this end of West Seattle.
