New website for Nicholas Francisco search, 1 month later
March 13, 2008 at 6:58 am | In Not WS but we're mentioning it anyway | 9 Comments
Not really a West Seattle story any more, but Nicholas Francisco‘s wife just announced the new website in a comment posted on this WSB item (don’t know where else she announced it; nothing comes up in blogsearch or news search so far), so for those wondering “what ever happened …” (some people asked us about it just yesterday) we’re mentioning it: It’s been one month today since he vanished, and with no obvious evidence of “foul play,” police have long since pulled back on an active search. (There’s backstory in this article from last weekend.) The new site is findnicholasfrancisco.com.

Have police closed the case, does anyone know?
Comment by acemotel — March 13, 08 12:38 pm #
SPD has cut way back on the case. It is not closed, but without any substantial leads or any evidence of foul play; there are too many other cases to be putting detectives’ energies towards.
I don’t know about others but missing persons cases like this stay with me for a long time… like years. I cannot imagine the anguish that his family and friends must be feeling. I hate the phrase…”without a trace.”

At first I thought he took off because of pressures, now I don’t know what to think? I have followed this story from Houston, Texas. Hopefully the truth will come out soon, so everybody can go on with their lives.

Why only list half of his race? What is his other half? Are we just supposed to guess..assume??

Does he have ties in Mexico? Could he have felt some pressure that he couldn’t deal with and think the family would be better off without him? It appears that he was a great father and husband. Perhaps he just snapped and will return after he sorts things out. I certainly hope this is the case. Since it doesn’t appear there is any foul play he could come home after he realizes the pain he has caused his distraught wife and family.

I suggest police look deeper into the family unit and ask where his father is as well.
