Want a reason to go to the West Seattle Farmers’ Market (11 am-2 pm, SE corner 44th/Alaska) today? Today, 2/17, and 2/24 are the last 3 sessions before the market takes a brief late winter/early spring break. Here’s today’s fresh list:

River Valley Cheese: Raw Milk – Cow and Goat Cheeses. Aged Hard Goat Cheese, Fresh Chevre (plain, sun dried tomato & basil, figs & almonds), Feta, Fresh Mozzarella (cow, goat, buffalo), Tipsy Cow (soaked in cabernet), Naughty Nellie (soaked in Pike Place Ale), Valley Girl (cow’s milk cheddar).

New Cheese from Estrella Family Creamery: “Partly Sunny”; a creamy cow’s milk blue cheese.

    I got the word from vendors at the farmers market on Sunday that barring a problem from the insurance company, the farmers market will go year-round! So it’s not official, but it certainly looks pretty certain to me, that we can continue to get the best of the best, every Sunday at the market! Yeah! No foodie withdrawals this year…
