spiky2.jpgChecked out the WS Farmers’ Market a few minutes into opening day, and we are thrilled to see that our personal faves are back, including Eats Market Cafe, Herban Feast with its strawberry-lavender lemonade, and best of all, Langley Fine Gardens, which brings over beautiful plants from its Vashon nursery, including exotic solanums like the one at left (3 for $8!). The market’s open today till 2.

  1. No fresh Peaches or Plums at this market. They always have good cooking herbs though like Basil,Thyme etc… but No fresh fruit. I guess I’m Tony’s bound.

  2. The produce usually takes a few weeks to start showing up in profusion. If you get peaches/plums etc. this time of year, they’re generally from Chile. Try again in a month or so – bound to be awesome. The lettuce hadn’t arrived this morning either but we’ll keep looking each week.
