Looking out for us

According to this P-I update, the judge who ruled today on the ballot language for next month’s Viaduct Vote at least asked a question on behalf of all us West Seattle commuters (sadly it seems there’s no good answer to that question yet):

Seu said access to downtown is planned at King Street, though he couldn’t answer Erlick’s question about exactly how a West Seattle resident could get downtown from a new tunnel. “There is no final design,” Seu said.

Personally, I think Paul Allen is behind the scenes in the tunnel campaign.
It makes no sense to spend billions cutting off West Seattle motorists and transit users from the central business district unless the bigger priority in replacing the viaduct is perhaps a spanking new express highway–at taxpayer expense–between Allen’s Pioneer Square properties (including Seahawks Stadium) and his properties around Aurora Avenue North.
Time will tell whether my conspiracy theory has any validity. I think it does.

Even though I love football and follow the Hawks, I don’t like Paul Allen and the way he does bsuiness with the public. I would never shake the guys hand.

Sorry, comment time is over.
